The fairytale charm of trulli in an independent house with a large garden between Alberobello and Monopoli.

Ideal for families up to four people, even with very young children (it’s equipped with pram, transportable car seat, camping bed, small play house and small play table with chairs), and suitable for pets (pet friendly), Trullimara is not just a holiday house or bed and breakfast in Puglia, but, welcoming and 'warm' as only your own home can be, it was our home for many holidays during the whole year and I hope that it becomes 'your home' for the next vacation. So I will be pleased to welcome you personally at the beginning of your holiday in Puglia and to bid you a fond farewell.

The house with trulli for rent consists of five rooms, three with trulli. Built during the 1800s in local stone (still entirely visible even inside), it underwent a complete renovation finally completed in 2017, performed by manually working the individual stones (called ‘chiancole’) which form the cones of the trulli: all in accordance with the ancient ‘mastri trullari’ technique.

Thanks to its very recent complete renovation and the presence of radiators in all the rooms, as well as a fully functioning fireplace in the dining room, Trullimara can be used in all seasons of the year.

The position of the house on gentle hills (about 350 meters above sea level) means that even midsummer evenings are never muggy, but rather are always fresh and pleasant. The distance from "Monopoli-Capitolo" coastline is about 17-18 km, through a beautiful road with several panoramic views of hills and sea and very light traffic even during holidays, while Alberobello, an acclaimed UNESCO World Heritage Site, is 15 km from the house.

The house is independent and entirely fenced in, with intercom, two parking spaces, electric driveway gate (opening with remote control) and manual pedestrian gate, and is served by cold and hot water, gas and electricity, all autonomous. In about 1,500 square meters, there is a stone shower (with hot water), a stone "work" floor with a washing machine, barbecue and sink (with hot water), a large stone and wood gazebo with a large iron table and solid wood and wooden chairs, the stone staircase to access the terrace (from which you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the surrounding countryside), an area equipped for hanging laundry, relaxation areas with umbrellas, a garden with a lawn, pebble flower beds, flower beds with succulent plants, Mediterranean bushes, fruit trees and, above all, olive trees. There is access for bicycles if needed. For children, there is a small play house and a small play table with chairs.

Inside

Trullimara consists of:

  • two bedrooms, each with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and shoe racks: the master bedroom has a barrel vault, while the other is a trullo;

  • a dining room, inside a trullo, with a working fireplace and wooden table with chairs and a sideboard;

  • a kitchen (masonry structure), with fridge with freezer, hob and electric oven;

  • a bathroom, inside a trullo, with toilet, bidet, sink and shower.

All the rooms in the house are equipped with a wooden door with a key lock, a radiator and a window, with a mosquito net, shutters, a flap opening and a grating. The entrance door is armored with an iron door screen with a mosquito net. For infants, we provide a camping coat, a pram and a transportable car seat.

Siamo stati solo 2 notti ma i trulli di Mara e Vittorio possiamo dire sono bellissimi, un posto in piena natura ma vicino al paese di Castellana Grotte, a 15 minuti da Monopoli e 20 da Polignano a Mare , senza dimenticare Alberobello che è a 10 minuti. Oltre la vicinanza di posti stupendi il trullo ha tutto come descritto e l accoglienza dei proprietari non può essere delle migliori, una vacanza bellissima per la nostra famiglia, i bambini si sono divertiti tantissimo sia in casa che fuori nel giardino tutto recintato e anche il nostro cane ha apprezzato. Verblijven in een Trulli op deze locatie is een geweldige ervaring/belevenis. Trulli ligt op een mooie centrale locatie te midden van de olijfgaarden. Ligt wel afgelegen, maar de Trulli, mooi aangelegde tuin en uitzicht maken een fijn verblijf waard. Vanuit deze locatie zijn uitstapjes naar de omliggende dorpen en stadjes zeer goed te doen. Auto is een must en Navigatie is zeer aan te raden. De eigenaren hebben alles gedaan om ons een fijn vakantie gevoel te geven met echte Italiaanse gastvrijheid en waren ook goed bereikbaar.
